Bill Blain got his well–driller’s license here in 1958. His wife Wanda became Nevada’s first licensed woman driller in 1978. Their son Tom has run the shop since 1996. Same family, same standards, same answers to the same questions about your water.

Our Story
1958
Bill Blain earns his Nevada well–driller’s license after several years drilling in California. He’s the beginning of the family’s line of work.
1978
His wife Wanda Blain applies for her own license. Women well drillers were unheard of in the 1970s; the contractors board initially rejects her. Governor O’Callaghan steps in. Wanda becomes the first licensed woman well driller in Nevada.
1996
Tom Blain, Bill and Wanda’s son, takes over the family business. Taught the trade by his mother from a young age — and the principle that doing what’s right is not always what’s easy.
Today
Tom still answers the phone. Crews on your property still have decades of Nevada drilling between them. The same family, the same standards, for sixty–seven years and counting.

We had our well deepened in Galena. Tom and his crew came highly recommended from multiple people I spoke to. Tom was always reachable by phone, during what turned out to be a difficult deepening that I fully believe a lesser crew would have given up. His team lead on my property was awesome and had decades of experience. Ten days after we have amazing clean water flowing again at 25 GPM.
My parents’ well needed repair and from the first phone call to the completion of the work, the customer service was outstanding. Everyone we worked with was professional, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. We will absolutely use them again and recommend them to anyone in need of well services.
